Once you’ve created Guidethroughs for your web applications or websites, you will want your end users to be able to view and play them.

To do this, you first need to have deployed either the Guidethrough code snippet or the Player Chrome Extension for your end users.

Whichever deployment option you choose, this is a first-time use task only.

Then, either one of your Guidethrough Content Managers or a Guidethrough Administrator can Publish the Guidethroughs that you want to be made available to end users.

Note that the 'Publish' process does not in itself send any Guidethrough content out across your network, but rather it acts as a flag that informs the end user's Guidethrough Player to only show Guidethroughs and Resources that are in 'Published' status.

The published Guidethroughs will then be available to play for end users.

Unpublished Guidethroughs are not made available to end users.

Publishing your Guidethrough's is a simple process and can be done in one of two ways:

A. From your Guidethrough Developer Chrome Extension homepage:

Open your Guidethrough Developer Extension and the homepage will display with the list of all your Guidethroughs, select the Guidethrough that you wish to publish from the list then:

1. Click on the ellipsis that is to the right of your selected Guidethrough.

Then from the drop-down menu;

2. Click on Publish

That's it. The Guidethrough is now published and able to be played by your end users.

B. From a Guidethrough's Edit Screen:

Open your selected Guidethrough from the homepage by clicking on it once.

This will then open that Guidethrough's edit screen. Then;

1. Click on the Published slider once.

To indicate that the Guidethrough has been published, the slider changes colour to blue (to indicate that a Guidethrough is unpublished, the slider is grey).

That's it. The Guidethrough is now published and able to be played by your end users.
