If you can't see the Guidethrough Developer 'G' icon in your Chrome menu bar or if the minimised blue 'G' tab is not visible on the left of your screen - and so the Guidethrough Developer is not available - then there are a number of steps that you can do to fix this issue.

1. Guidethrough Developer Chrome extension has not been installed or has been removed:

To confirm that Guidethrough Developer extension is installed on your Chrome browser, follow these steps:

a. Open your Chrome browser and click on the ellipsis on the top right of the browser toolbar

b. This opens a drop-down menu. Select the More Tools option

c. Then choose the Extensions option

d. On the screen that opens are listed all of the extensions installed on your Chrome browser, check that Guidethrough Developer is listed

If you don't see Guidethrough Developer listed in your extensions page, then you can install it from the Chrome Web Store.

See: How do I install the Guidethrough Developer Chrome Extension?

2. Guidethrough Developer application is disabled in your Chrome extensions:

Check that your Guidethrough Developer extension is enabled since if it has been disabled then it will not display or be available to use.

When disabled, the slider colour is grey, the Guidethrough G logo no longer is shown in the Chrome toolbar and Guidethrough Developer is not able to be used.

See: How to enable and disable the Guidethrough Developer Chrome Extension

Note: Upon enabling the Guidethrough Developer Chrome extension it is important to open a new page or tab using Chrome (or refresh a web page you have open at the time) to load and display Guidethrough's Developer Extension login screen (if first time use), or display the blue 'G' tab on the left of your screen if you didn't logout on last use of Guidethrough.

Click on the blue 'G' tab to open and use the Guidethrough Developer.

3. Guidethrough 'G' icon not displayed in Chrome menu bar:

By default, Chrome is setup so that whenever any Chrome extension is installed into your Chrome browser, it will not be 'pinned' to your menu bar - which means that unless you know where to look for the extension, then it is possible that you won't be able to use it.

Pinning your Guidethrough Developer extension is a fast and convenient way to quickly access the Guidethrough Developer application.

See: How to pin Guidethrough Developer extension

Only extensions that are enabled in your list of installed Chrome extensions will be available to be pinned.

Hence, if you don't see Guidethrough listed when trying to pin it to your menu bar, then follow the steps at Point 2 above to ensure that Guidethrough is enabled and then see: How to pin Guidethrough Developer extension

Once you've pinned Guidethrough to your menu bar, the Guidethrough 'G' icon will show in your menu bar.

If this is your first time use or if you logged out of Guidethrough on your last use, clicking on the 'G' will open the login screen. Login using your Guidethrough credentials and then the minimised Guidethrough Developer 'G' tab will appear on top left of your screen.

Click on the blue 'G' tab to open and use the Guidethrough Developer.

Note: If you have previously used and logged into Guidethrough (and didn't logout on last use) upon pinning the Guidethrough Developer Chrome extension it is important to open a new page or tab using Chrome (or refresh a web page you have open at the time) to load and display Guidethrough's Developer Extension blue 'G' tab on the left of your screen. Click on the blue 'G' tab to open and use the Guidethrough Developer.
